Lovely to see the wild variety. I have cultivated ones just coming into flower in my garden, but they seem very blowsy in comparison with these delicate blooms.
Juneau Alaska (pronounced June-oh) is a small community snug in the southeast panhandle of Alaska. Surrounded by sea, mountains, and ice fields, roughly 30,000 adventurous souls call it home. The City and Borough of Juneau is larger than the state of Rhode Island, and is the only landlocked state capital in the United States (Hawaii being waterlocked). This area was originally a favorite fishing area of the Tlingit people, while the city was founded around the discovery of gold in the 1880s. Today the top employers are government, tourism, and mining.
