Juneau Alaska Photo
Juneau Alaska (pronounced June-oh) is a small community snug in the southeast panhandle of Alaska. Surrounded by sea, mountains, and ice fields, roughly 30,000 adventurous souls call it home. The City and Borough of Juneau is larger than the state of Rhode Island, and is the only landlocked state capital in the United States (Hawaii being waterlocked). This area was originally a favorite fishing area of the Tlingit people, while the city was founded around the discovery of gold in the 1880s. Today the top employers are government, tourism, and mining.

With scenery like that, even cloudy days are beautiful.
Our family took a cruise to Alaska in May. I"m so glad we had a clear day when we visited the Mendenhall glacier.
More liquid sunshine for you. Tho you might be longing to see the sun, the clouds make for a wonderfully moody shot.
