The Mount Roberts Tram has already begun making preparations for the upcoming tourist season. The tramcars take passengers up about 1800 feet to the top of Mt. Roberts where you can enjoy spectacular views of Juneau and the surrounding area, learn about the Tlingit culture, have lunch or dinner at the Timberline Bar and Grill, shop at the Raven Eagle Gifts, or hike the scenic trails. It definitely makes the top 10 list of things to do and see when visiting Juneau.
Today is also “Theme Day” for the City Daily Photo Community. This month’s theme is the color red. Click here to view thumbnails for all participants

I just love trams. Great photograph.
Hi there - thanks for your comment on my blog!
I'm loving your photos - I've actually been to Juneau. I grew up in the Yukon.
That red sure stands out against the grey fog! Nice.
Very cool and different sky photo!
That sounds like a wonderful trip to make! The tram's color is very striking and the scenery is just gorgeous!
That's a very cool RED tram for theme day! Where is everyone - too shy to ride up in the tram?
I waited for this car to descend for another load of supplies. Unfortunately, the public isn’t allowed to use the tram during wintertime because there is too much snow on top, however, we have received far less snow than normal this year and that means the trails will be open sooner.:)
I wish I weren't such a chicken about riding on cable cars. I think this would be so much fun!
